yeah the side that goes into the sync itself is no longer connected the other end that goes into the great beyond that is under the dash goes to the red/pink wire

Please call in to tech support and let us help you locate the correct wire. It is not in a harness with only 4 wires. It is in a large harness going to the sync module with 54 pins. It sounds like you might be looking in the wrong place.

I called tech today while hooking my new unit up 12v guy and I think I have the pink and red wire in my 09 hooked up to the wrong side because the phone and voice commands are acting a little strange. I looked for over an hour in the huge harness and can not locate the blue and orange wire. there is a blue and white blue and black or grey and a solid blue one but I cant seem to locate the blue and orange in the large harness. I could really use a helping hand!
