Im looking at purchasing a double din for my f150. Does anybody have experiences with the JVC KW-AVX820 or 810? One thing that i like about the JVC is that it has a detachable faceplate. Any input is appreciated. Thanks

i love it. the touch screen is really amazing. works great with an ipod. the only thing i dont like is that because it has the detachable face it sticks out about an inch. but other than that it works really good. oh i almost forgot. it doesnt work with the ipod touch.

I have the 810 had the same problem with mine in my f150 then i took it out and trimmed around the outside trim of it because it would get caught when i opened it but trimmed the plastic and it sits just about flush in my dash. The only thing i dont like about it is it is a little slow with the ipod like changing songs and finding a song takes a long time. But other then that everuthing works great

Are you able to change the color of the buttons on the 810 to match the dash? What are the differences between the 810 and the 820?

no you cant change the color of the buttons on the 810. the only difference that i know of is that the 820 comes with the built in bluetooth.
