Upgraded my radio in december to a kenwood dnx892. now time to upgrade factory speakers in my 2014 stx super cab.

already got the 4 JL door speakers (forget model)
5 channel amp
and the 8" self contained JL sub and box

anyone have pics of the JL self contained 8 or 10" ported sub, and 5 channel amp installed under their rear seats? kinda looking for ideas how will look when I tackle this thursday/friday.

searched through 14 pages and seen super crew behind the seats, but not the supercab under seats.

I just built my own and put a JL 10" compact sub in it.


1/2" MDF from HD. Nailed and glued together.






Fits under pass side rear seat. SCAB




Painted black now. Almost invisible.

My Amps are NVX MVPA1 (sub) and MVPA4 (door). They are both fed from one #4 (I think) and fit under the radio in the center stack. The only wiring to the rear was the actual subwoofer wiring (10ga).

I went for sound quality and not volume. It is plenty loud enough.

I ended up replacing all 4 door speakers with JL forget model at this point speakers, a 5 channel jl amp and the self contained ported single 8"sub under both back seats. I listen to rock so it does what i need. Thinking of getting the dual sub box posted above though in a thread...
