Default JL Audio 2-10w3v3's in 2008 F-150 Supercrew

I just thought id take some pictures of the box and set up i just completed in my 2008 F-150 Supercrew last night. The pictures arent the greatest but its the best i could do for now. I modified the box for two 10's by addind 3/4 inch depth to the top side. Once the box was modified i had to then remove the bottom portion of the back seat and also remove the foam leaving just the inside frame. I then hammered on the seats to move them up, making them slightly more level which you cannot even tell one bit. The foam is so thick what adjustments i made are undetectable. The box fits perfect under the back seat so instead of having to buy the LMI lift, this modification can help others with some additional options for 10's. If you have any questions feel free to ask and i can explain every step. You can do all of this in half a day to one full day from start to finish, easily!!! Good Luck!!

Looks sweet man. Nice setup. Big fan of JL just a little too pricey for me.

the box came from a local/reliable stereo store. i was given a good deal on the box because i also bought two w3's. i think he charged me $50 flat for the box but you can get them normall for two 10's at about $80 dollars. I would rather build a custom box but hard to find the time. I was a little hesitant on the JL once both are hooked up, you realize paying the price was well worth it. i spent $190 a piece for each sub, although i shouldnt have been so impulse and just got them off the internet for like $160. considering you dont need much amp, you know its reliable and top of the line...in my opinion its worth the money. could maaaayyyybbbbee get w6's but afraid to adjust the bottom seat pan anymore, may become noticable.

next project: going to build a fiberglass enclosure that molds to the back seat floor from the sub box to the back of the center console that houses my new infinity kappa four amp that runs the infinity kappa mids. will have RGB LED's so i can color change...ill post pics but may be a bit. take care, peace.

What exactly did you do to the backseat? Which part did you modify?
