JBL Slim 10" Subwoofer Opinions?
I know everybody has their opinion...I am just trying to gather some info on this product. There is very limited info out there on this product e.g. reviews. I know JBL home theater speakers are of good quality but unsure on Harman Kardon's audio speaker stereo line. However, I have heard good things about their smaller speakers.
Here is a link to the product:

that's a NICE shallow mount sub. you will be VERY impressed with the quality of the sound.
for $$ reasons, i went with a pioneer shallow mount in my F150.

the box is the perfect size and fits under the back seat of my supercrew like a glove. and the price can't be beat (check amazon) when you consider a carpeted shallow mount box will cost you another $50 - $100.
the other product i would recommend is the MTX thunderform. they have complete enclosures (including sub(s) and amp built-in) specifically built to blend in with your specific vehicle. they are a little more pricey though.

^Thanks for the input. I have a pioneer that is old and rickety (e.g. had to super glue the outside foam) and needs to be replaced. It also was tight squeeze in the box I have right now. I like pioneer but I was wanting to go with something different. Found the JBL for $99 so I may go with that.

Okey got the sub installed and tweaked the amp so no more clipping. Nice little sub-woofer (sub). Is a 10" sub going to blow you hair back...no. Is it going to improve sound quality and provide a deeper tone absolutely. I think when reviewing a 10" sub you have to keep everything in perspective. So far I am pleased with the sub and can crank it without it having distortion. Granted I have only had it for under 24 hours so I'll report back after I can make more HU adjustments. Here's a pic.

The sub is wired in parallel for a 2ohm load.
I can't remember the exact specs of the box since I purchased it awhile ago. The box is as big as you can get it without removing the jack under the rear seat. (Note: I only paid $79 for the box not the $129)

Well after a few days of listening to the sub I have been really impressed with its output. Anybody interested in this sub rest assured it is a quality sub. Glad I made the purchase.
