Android SUCKS. I'll be switching back to iPhone before my Samsung S4 completely self-destructs.

The only gripe I have with my 5S is the battery life. Wish it was a little longer. Other than that it's nothing.

This ^^^ is the correct method for iPhone.

So you've got it working now, correct?

Sync should now notify you that a message has arrived. You cannot "view" the text while you're moving, but Sync should read you the message. If you cannot hear it then you have the truck's audio turned down. It's adjusted while the text is being read via the stereo's volume controls...or via the menu on the display under the truck's settings.

i wasn't concerned about text messages or emails on the HU. i was concerned about getting the notifications on the phone. it seems to have starting working after i turned bluetooth notifications on and rebooted the phone. i haven't checked the HU

I'll have to give that a shot. It's been annoying me. The only sounds my phone makes in the truck are when someone calls me, unless playing through USB

Same here. I tried the SYNC USB and did get a text alert on screen but my phone still doesn't make a noise when I get an email. I don't know why you would need to be plugged into the SYNC USB for anything if you are using bluetooth.
