Default installing SYNC in a non-SYNC truck?

Is it possible to install a SYNC unit in my non-SYNC '09 XLT? I searched but couldn't find this specific question.

If I could find a SYNC unit from a wrecked 09-14 will it just drop in?

I'd almost pay to have sTync removed from my truck, it's worthless garbage.

Hi, after my introduction post, I try to ask some help from you!
I need to retrieve original sync2 microphone wires from 54 pin to use it on another head unit but I'm not able to do it by now;
I've followed wires schema found on google but no voice is retrieved from my radio

If you use Maestro there is an option to use the factory mic with an aftermarket HU

I think it's possible without other interfaces, isn't it?

Probably. I just always recommend using Maestro for people that want to do it. Maybe you could search the forum for someone that already has done it.
