SoundsGoodStereo Sound-Proofing Package
I just installed the stage 2 sound proofing from SGS in my f150 with stock speakers and I'm very impressed with the results. I found the installation to be a pretty easy DIY, I just watched one of their videos from their website (however, it was for an older model and had some differences to the 21+ that i had to figure out) it took me 3.5 hours for the first front door and under 2 hours on the 2nd. I had rattles coming from my door that started at half volume that were ruining my listening experience, the rattle was there before I added 2 subs under the seat and got a little worse with the addition of the subs so I knew I wanted to sound proof my car ASAP. The front right door was the one bothering me the most so I did it first. once finished, as I started listening I felt something was off so I messed around with the balance and fader putting it on front right side only. I was amazed at the depth and quality of the music I was hearing. Then I switched to the side I hadn't touched and it just sounded hollow and lacking compared to the right side and now I found vibrations coming from the left that were previously masked from the vibrations on the right side. I decided to do the left door as well at 8pm and now I'm very pleased with the sound from my car. Going to get to the rears sometime this weekend.
I do wish they would include a link by email or qr code with your package you could scan sending you to their video on the soundproofing because I had to search their site to find the video. I highly recommend doing sound proofing now, this is my first car I've done this to and it sounds better with the stock than when I got new speakers and an amp in my previous car. So, I think this should be the first step someone goes to in upgrading their car audio... I know it will be mine now.

Sound deadening is very important and most people skip this for some reason. You'll also find that you can play at lower volumes and enjoy the music with less ear fatigue. Everything should sound more clear and pronounced.

Yea, thats the one I used. I just meant I had to go look at some of their different packages to find it. Have you done the rear wall? they don't include that on the video and I don't know where to start.

Yea, i'm very impressed with the difference it made. I think from now on thats going to be my first stereo upgrade in my cars, its also nice that I can install it myself.

Yeh I did the rear wall...looked and did NOT find any videos. I just kind of cut cld in to pieces and did the major areas. I did not remove many of the electronics. As i remember the back carpet just pops off after you remove the C pillars. SGS has a video somewhere on removing C pillars during an install.

Most legit car audio install bays will do this and do a decent job, albeit most will do too much, as in, use too much material when you don't need that much in reality. The whole diminishing returns thing.

So their sound deadening system is about $1000 bucks. Couldn't I just buy sheets and sheets of off brand ones for half that price and follow this video? I know they're trying to sell a product, but holy cow.

The sound deadening material is not the same quality. Not saying you get what you paid for, but with resonix stuff you do. It's third party tested to be the best performance. You can use 1/2 of what you'd use from other brands.
