Default installed lmi lift kit for rear seat how do i get the back seat to stay in place?

so i installed the rear seat lift kit and put the bottom seat back in. when i went back to slide the back seat back on i couldnt get it to lock in place? what am i doing wrong? there is a small bar that runs at the bottom of the back seat that slide that you are supposed to slide into the slots at the bottom of the rear seat. did that but the top has 4 black hooks at the top which are about 1/2 from fitting what do i do?

If the bottom is seated correctly, the top will go in. They do go tough sometimes. The top of the hook should be at the top of where the hook goes in and you need to flex the seat into place.

How does the seat lift work? Leave plenty of room for the belts and stuff? Look strange with the lift in? I think the back seat bottom should have been about 2" taller from factory. How much more room you have under the seat now? I am looking to build a ported box under the seat and think I could use more space.

Thanks for the info!

sorry to resurrect a zombie thread. Was trojanman22 correct? Does the seat back just hang from the original brackets and the seat bottom move up? I have this lift from LMI and no way to figure out how to get the back to work. Instructions were a bit lacking. thanks!!

I called LMI when I ordered mine. He said that the back does not raise up. It only lifts the bottom of the seat. You might call them.

Default How I solved it...

You are correct. It only raises the bottom. Here is how I solved the seat back problem.
