Pardon my Ignorance I'm new to the forum. I have a 2015 302a XLT that I'm installing the same system in. My problem is every time I hook the power up, the subwoofer is going crazy. Anyone have advice?
TIA
TIA
So I installed the Kicker VSS Power Stage, part# PF150SC15, on my 2015 F150 Screw NON Sony system. I went ahead and put together a little video of the installation if anyone is interested. As far as how it sounds, I am 100% satisfied. I think it sounds great and and i am really impressed with what Kicker did with this system while retaining the stock speakers. It is a little pricy but it sounds great and I love the fact that I get to keep everything completely stock looking while still being able to fold up my rear seats and have full access to the back. Feel free to ask me any questions and I will answer what I can.

I did upgrade the Sony "Premium" sound system in my 2016 KR. Went with the Kicker VSS sub/amp/enclosure and the kicker replacement door/dash speaker kit. Sounds much better than before and I do believe the door speakers are worth the extra $$s. However, still wish I could add a better amp for the door/dash speakers, they can handle much more power and while the sound is improved, it's still pretty bad in the midrange with some tunes. Classic rock sounds great, newer (less bass focused stuff) still sounds weak. The so called Sony "Premium" 6x9 front door speakers were a single cone rated at a whopping 25 watts If I were Sony/Ford, I'd be embarrassed...just saying! Purchased everything through Stage Three Motorsports and they did give me an additional discount when I called them to discuss the order. Oh, be sure and get the Metco speaker adapter housings for the 2015 and up as Ford uses a housing that is integral to the stock speakers and you'll either have to tear these off the original speakers or mount new speakers directly to door frame or just use the Metco's...check out Amazon and there are UTube vids on the entire process...

So I just had this installed on my 2016 Crew and there is a noticeable quality sound difference and more bass but not too much louder. I can still turn the volume dial to the top and still not be loud enough. Do you know if it is possible to add another amp or will upgrading the speakers make it much louder. Thanks, Rich

Was there anything you have to do different since you had the Sony system? Everywhere I'm reading says it's 'not compatible'. I have a 2017 Shelby with the Sony package, but I'm missing the under-seat sub I had in my 2013 Raptor (although I'm very happy about having that under-seat space back). This looks like the perfect solution to getting my bass back if I can make it work with my system. If all I have to do extra is replace the door speakers, then I'm in.
