Installed a jvc double deck and headlights won't go out
I feel like a freaking Moron right now. I have a 14 XLT screw 4x4 I wired in a dd jvc KW-61bt. I had the basic stock stereo with sync and no nav. I couldn't afford to buy the maestro kit so for now I just got the basic wiring kit. Big mistake I guess cause now my lights won't go out no matter what mode the switch is in. Fog lights won't come on and no high beams. When I **** the doors and lock it with my fob the dome lights go off but the dash and all the lights on the outside of the truck stay on. Please please help

Beware aftermarket wiring kits. Check (with a meter) if the ground from the new radio is somehow plugged into the light wire. This wire will have no current at rest but when the lights are on it may have ground or occasionally 8-12 volts. If the wiring harness you used has connected your radio ground to it, it will possibly deliver ground to the wire from the antenna through the new radio, making your light system (and other systems like the air bags) think the circuit is complete. You may have to establish a separate ground for the radio to the firewall of the vehicle or find a permanent ground source in the dash wiring. The original radio probably had a 14-12 awg (probably RED) wire attached to the back with a ring connector. That's the ground.
