Importance of Amp Kit/Amp question

Looks like idb has already offered up a lot of info on picking your kit, so I'll just stick to a heads up on a supplier to look into.
I used a company called knuconceptz for my wiring after finding them very well reviewed on several car audio sites. Great value and great product. Check out their website, stick to the copper Kolossuss series, they have a super value line with copper coated aluminum wire (KLM IIRC), but for the relatively small upcharge you'll get a superior product that is still a great value with the Kolossus.

Ok, it seems to me your looking for a quality kit but not spend more on wire than you did on your amp. First off, will your amp accept a 4ga connection and look at some of the wire kits for yourself. You will see that some of the scosch kits are mostly coating and minimal wire. Fosgate and kicker are nice but at almost a 100 bucks. I've used all kinds of wire over the yrs. and found a few I like. In the past yr I've used shok wire. And by surprise I found it on eBay. It was $1.00 a foot. You pay 4.50 for the first foot and .10 cents for every additional foot by the seller vertex audio. So it's less than 28 bucks for 20 ft. The wire is amazing!!! It's crazy flexible, it has an unbelievable strand count. And can be ordered in specific lengths and colors. Mostly black and orange but whatever you use look at what you get for the money. I also shop at sonicelectronix.com a bunch.
