debating on buying a pair of these... I know that in order to run them I need to lift the back seat up. Would like to avoid paying that awful price for the lwi welding kit. $150 or so for a few brackets is too much. What are you guys doing to lift the back seat up to gain more space?

In for this answer as well.

I have two of them sitting in my living room waiting to go in once I save up some more.

I know the fox box has the depth needed WITHOUT raising the seat, but the speaker cutout needs to be cut out bigger. Also, I've heard issues with people waiting 3+ weeks to get the fox box as they are built to order it seems.

come on guys... 48 views and no input? surely someone has done something to lift their back seat up for more air space to allow more mounting depth for the subs.

Not unless you get the brackets to raise the seats for an extra $150... unless I'm not seeing another box

For the super crew.
ID10D4v.3 has a dust cover that can be removed bringing the mount depth to 5.25

IDQ and ID have different mounting depths, IDQ is 5.75 vs ID being 5.5
