I'm basically just looking for a $20 harness (like a normal vehicle) to plug into the factory harness with power, remote turn on etc. I'm running dual amps with RCAs and speaker wire already ran to the doors so I dont need any of the factory speaker wires.

I dont really care about SYNC as my new HU has bluetooth and everything I want.
If the steering wheels controls work, cool. If not, I'm not worried about spending $100 on an adapter to make them work.

You have Canbus so you have a choice of 2 harnesses. One that retains the switched power and one that doesn't.

Wouldn't I want the switched power so it still shuts off when the doors open? Or maybe I'm not sure exactly what you mean.

If I decide to keep the steering wheel controls, what is the cheapest option for that?

Thanks for the response.

One adapter has the switched power built in. Costs about $50. Turns off when doors open
The other one you will need to run a wire to the fuse box. Cost less than $10.
Turns off when key turns off
Another $50 for the steering wheel control adapter

Could you post which harness shuts off when the doors open?

Thanks

So I can either buy the $55 harness you listed above or use the $6 Metra 70-5520 harness with the add a fuse on #38 and get the same results?

That's basically what I was wanting to know, if the Metra 70-5520 harness would work.

Then if I wanted, later on I could add the PAC adapter for the steering wheel controls?

Yes. Please confirm that fuse 38 is the correct fuse. You can use the search function for that. I would suggest the Axxess SWC adapter. Much easier to use.

I've read numerous posts about it being #38.
Thank you for all your help

Or Maestro SW which you can program as you like on your computer and have both short press and long press functions.
