You can keep the steering wheel controls, and the oem rear cam, plus Sync if you like it and have it already in your truck. Just need the proper wiring, and tap into the oem camera harness.

I added a kenwood 892 and oem bu cam to my 12 xlt when I had it, and loved how much the HU could do.

Like I said earlier, get on Crutchfield.com, and enter your truck info, then look at compatible HUs, that have Carplay...

From what I gathered, if you mean member Buzz. He is shopping for a Carplay HU!

Sony just came out with a new Carplay/Android Auto HU...

This Sony has both CP and AA. Its a preorder, but has a lower price 499.99, and a volume **** which is nice. I missed not having a volume **** on my Kenwood 892.
