Default I got a 12" sub box but it want fit.....

I purchased 2 12" rockford fosgate p3 shallow mount subs, they fit in the sub enclosure but the back bench seat will not lock into place with the box under it. It is about a 1/2" from closing and looks like Sh#t. The box is also a downward firing box what is the difference in sound quality? I heard some people telling me about fiberglass boxes but would i be able to place 2 of these subs next to each other so I could place the amp's under the back passenger seat where the jack was?

you cant fint both subs under the large part of your seat due to the hump in the middle, that kills any chance of that there is, fiberglassing is way better, it allows you to get more cubic footage and contour to the lines much better, its also much more expensive unless you do it yourself

If you havent used the 12s yet i would try to send them back and get 10s instead you shouldnt have any problem with the box fitting or you can lift your back seat.

well going under the back seat I would down fire them you dont want you subs hitting the bottom of you seat when they hit. Just make sure that your box is built so that there is an over hang on the sides so that the sub is essentially inset and has some airspace between it and the floor. And it just depends on the dimensions of the box but if you are only 1/2" from the seat folding all the way down you should actually have a little room to spare.
