how in the world do you get the door skin back on!?

i just finished putting one side back together, but its still not right. i couldn't get all the hinges back on.
I installed 6.5 components into the front doors using 3/4 MDF and i cant get the door skin up and over the MDF to put the hinges back on. i got all of them except the one really close to the speaker. its in the middle of the door towards the firewall (front). i trimmed the plastic off the original hole to the stock speaker (bracket like fixtures on the door skin) to make for more room but i still cant get it back on correctly.
this is how mine is:
door frame-MDF home made bracket- speaker-door skin
i removed the plastic plugs/clips that were the anchors for the stock speakers so the MDF is flush to the frame.
