Default How to test a used sub before purchase??

In the spring I plan on upgrading my stereo to new speakers and 2 sound ordnance b-8pt subs with built in a amps behind my rear seats. I can buy them used with a 30 money back guarantee. Is there a fairly simple way to hook these up to my home stereo to test? I just want to make sure they work before my return window is gone. The high before wind chill is -1 degree so installing them in the truck isn't an option. Any thoughts?

You can hook them up to your home stereo. They won't sound very good playing a full range signal, but you can listen for any noises and make sure they at least work.
