Default how should I power my kicker L7s?

hey guys and girls,
I had a kicker L7 10" being powered by a 600w kicker mono amp...my problem is, I am adding another L7 to the mix and need to know how powerful of an amp am I going to need now...the rms on the L7 is 600.....yea I know I was barely getting by before but some suggestions on my new setup would be greatly appreciated. Also, what would be the best way to hook them up, do I need a cap, and last...would I need a second battery (overkill?) thanks everyone

It's totally up to you as far as how you wanna power them. You could buy a 2 channel amp and power them both which I think would be better or you could buy another mono amp to power your second L7. Getting a cap is a great idea. I've had them on all of my systems and that little extra boost is good. It also wouldn't hurt to add another battery and it would take the strain off of your car battery but if you do end up getting another battery make sure whoever hooks it up does it right or it'll drain your primary battery.

As far as what kind of amp to get....that's totally up to you. I have a few favorites that I can recommend for the L7's but I'm sue you have your own preference.

well, I was thinking about keeping it all kicker instead of having a mutt system...but what I was getting at about the power, should I get like a 1000 watt amp? even though the RMS of the L7 is 600? would it hurt anything if I did that? I am kind of new to the whole high wattage systems. what do you recommend for wattage? and ohms?<--which I do not understand 100% either ug I have a long way to go.

I was going to recommend powering the L7's with a Kicker amp because to me they sound better. I don't think you're going to over power an L7 so anything from a 1000 watt amp to a 1500 watt 2ohm amp would be fine.

First off, what impedence are the subs? You need to figure that out before you can pick an amp.
