I was pretty meticulous with my build, and I have noise. Most of it comes from the FM radio, even it you are listening to something else, a really small amount of the FM channel comes through.

I'm running a factory head unit to a RF360.3. I think anytime a stock head unit is plugged into an aftermarket system there will be some noise.

If you want to rule out your wiring being the issue, unplug all the signal inputs going into your amp(s). If the noise stays, then its in your power/ground wiring. If the noise disappears then its coming either from your head unit or the signal wiring between the HU and amp(s). Be sure to test both with your truck running and with it off.

I thought mine was pretty quiet after my final bit of the install last week. Got home yesterday and decided to detail the interior, with the radio on, of course. Turned on the truck and was just sitting there for a second when I thought I heard something. I was in USB mode but had the music paused. I could hear something sounding like it was bleeding through. I put my ear down by the speaker and sure enough, it sounded like a radio station bleeding through. So I think your assessment about the factory radio is correct. Probably poorly shielded and that's what you get. Now at high volume, I don't hear the radio bleeding through, thank goodness, but I'm sure it's lurking in the background as added distortion. But since I couldn't swap out the factory head unit, it'll have to do.

If all your wiring is correct then I bet it has to be the remote line causing the noise. When you are tapping a remote line that is being over used by other things in the car you'll experience this constant noise. Sometimes I have to tap multiple 12v sources for each item I'm installing. Give it a try using a different source for your remote lines or use multiple sources.

Default Similar hissing sound...

I wanted to go ahead and chime in with a similar issue I am having... So to answer your question, yes I am getting some hissing from the tweeters.

First off, the equipment:

Factory Ford F-150 HU (8" screen)
Front Speakers - Polk db6501
Rear Speakers - Polk db651
Subwoofer - Rockford Fosgate R2X-1X12
Amplifier - Rockford Fosgate R600X5
Harness - Parrot Ford Car Kit
Speaker Wire - Stinger 9 conductor Speedwire
RCAs - Kabel Direkt Pro Series
LOC - Audio Control DQ-61

I followed this install to the "T"..

https://www.f150forum.com/f30/2015-f...o-sony-314241/

Wiring locations are the same as shown in the install. I have the amp gains set to roughly 20%.. The hiss is loud enough that it bugs me when I get in the truck and with those gains, the amp isn't quite loud enough for driving with the windows down.

What could be causing the hiss? I tried quite a few things to reduce with no luck including additional grounds in various locations... I removed the RCA connections to verify that the sound is not from the amp.. It seems to be between HU and DQ-61... I also sent a message to Audio Control for their thoughts.

The last item.. When I pull the (-) wire on the Front Driver Side line input at the DQ-61, I still get sound out of that set of components. I would expect it to go silent....

Not meant to hi-jack... Just figured it might help us both out.

Strange that you still get sound when the input is cancelled. Are you sure everything is good with the Parrot harness? Pull both wires and see if you still get sound. If you do then I would also look at the amp outputs

I did quite a bit of investigation with Audio Control and the unit is believed to be defective. I had a decent amount of undesirable hiss going on that shouldn't have been there. I have another one on the way.

I will be interested to hear if it fixes the front speaker. I wouldn't think it would

I hope so too... Keep in mind I had noise all around... all of it was definitely coming from the LOC...

This is one of those times I am wondering if a true DSP would be the correct direction.

With your new speakers I would probably disconnect the factory tweeters also
