how to find which wires to tap into for speakers (for sub use)
#11
last thing for this evening. I did find a brown/white and brown blue twisted pair WAYYYYYYY up on the front of the cab, immediately next to a plug&play harness adjacent to the passenger fuse box. It looks like those wires that come from the harness are 'doubled up'? in the bundle that goes in the sill.
Finding the brown/white and brown/blue pair twisted I think is the confirmation that those are the proper right rear speaker wires. Now to just follow them along the bundle, or figure out if it's possible to tap them near the harness. But that'll be later, its been a long day

It would seem to me that the front speaker wires are the ones you need to tap. The bass to the rear speakers is severely attenuated at higher volumes, while the front doesnt seem to be. Try this. Put in something bass heavy and turn it up fairly loud. Now fade your stereo all the way to the front. Then fade it all the way to the rear. You should hear a distinct lack of bass in the rear as compared to the front. Is this where you want to take your subwoofer signal from? Not me.....

Thank you for the effort. It's very frustrating for me, and I'm giving up for the evening as your semi humorous response is not setting well with me.
There are multiple sets of the same color, you may not see them from this angle, but they are there.
You're going to tell me you don't see at least 3 sets of 'black and yellow'? (not even counting the other combinations that are duplicates)

Wasn't trying to be humorous, the only reason for more than one wire to have the same EXACT color is it is the same circuit so selecting either would garner the same result.
Black with white stripe can also be white with black stripe, you have to determine which color is dominant, there will be more of one color than the other.

I hear no such attenuation in the rear speakers. Many others have tapped into the rear speakers for the sound ordnance powered subwoofer and I have not seen a single one report the problem you just described.
