12's are not the best option.
Here are a few things to consider.
You can fit some shallow 12's but a 10" sub like a JL w3 has more cone travel, which moves more air, which = more bass.
Air space is another issue. You can cram a 12 under the seat but there isn't enough airspace so you end up with a 12 that won't play as deep a 10 would.
So while most guys are obsessed with having a bigger............. anything. Bigger speakers aren't always better. Plus its a down fire box and nobody will ever see the subs. They will however hear them.

Your going to have to get a seat lift kit ($170) and a special box for the Type R's and they won't sound any better than the w3's.

I know that the 10w3's are kinda pricey.
Two other high power subs that will fit but don't require a sacrificial piggy bank are the Kicker CVX 10 and the Punch P3 "full depth". The Punch P3 has a aluminum magnet cover that must be removed.
I always recommend removing any rubber, metal or plastic magnet covers since all they do is impress people that suffer from ***** envy syndrome and hold in heat.
