help with signal wire for additional amp, 09 Platinum with Sony, Nav, Sync
Hey guys, quick question about running signal wires to my amp. First off, I'm adding a kicker 400.1 amp and a 10" CVT sub to the existing HU and Sony system. I have the whole thing wired up and installed except for the signal wires. I scoured the forums and read a lot of different things that people have done, but I still have a couple questions:
1. Should I run signal from the rear/front speakers, or the Sony amp?
2. Do I need any type of LOC or other type of converter since I already have the Sony amp? My amp can also accept speaker level inputs.
3. If I don't need an LOC/other converter, how do I tap the signal wires and change them to RCA inputs for the amp?
Thank you so much!

You should have the factory sub. Use the wiring at the sub, its a low level single.
Pin 7 & 8
The 2009 & 2010 should be the same.

So does this mean separating the inside of the RCA wire and connecting the outside to negative (green/white) and the middle to positive (violet/green)?

I'd use something like this: http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...tml?from=3-332 the screw connector are a lot easer that the solder on ones.
You'd use half of it then get a Y-spliter to make the mono single to two channels. http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...on-RCAY2M.html

HA! now were talkin! That's exactly what I need. Just ordered it. Hopefully it'll work like a charm since it's already a low level input. Am I still going to get the bass reduction at higher volumes?
