Depending on the year of truck you don't need the lcd display.

Thanks for the info. Actually found another thread on here about a Pioneer HU where some one didn't use the lcd. I actually have a 2010 F350 but I kind of thought I didn't need the lcd. Looking at pics, it doesn't seem mountable unless I taped some velcro or dbl sided tape to the back of it.

I have my lcd thrown in the glove box and rarely need to use it. Assuming you plan to use the Sync voice controls for everything, the only need for the lcd screen/control panel will come from you needing to add a new bluetooth device or changing Sync options not accessible through voice commands. A word of advice, you may need to add an RCA signal potentiometer in order to get a usable signal from the PAC interface. With my installation, the output signal was too strong and was causing excessive static/popping. I had to use a potentiometer to lessen the signal to something usable by my head unit's inputs. I can get you a part number if you need it.

FYI you can add a new bluetooth device by using the steering wheel controls after the FRD1 is installed. I have done it.

I have the exact same problem, every time I go to aux audio on my HU it's total static.

Thanks,
