Default Help with my 2005's radio

I am new to the website, and I apologize if this has been asked before. I tried to search, but no luck. I have a 2005 FX4 with the factory radio and want to play my iPod through the radio. I know I have a few options, but would like some more input and opinions. I want to keep the look of a stock head unit, and have heard that 2007 and 2008 trucks have a AUX jack. Would it be best just to put a newer radio into my truck? Thanks in advance for your help
-Andrew

For the price of a factory radio and then to have the dealership program it to your truck I would go aftermarket.

Thanks Alan. I talked to a guy who does car stereos for a living, he suggested the same thing.

make sure you read the description carefully, it will NOT work with the factory 6-disc units...

You can keep a stock look if you go to resell your truck by getting a good installation kit for your vehicle from reputable dealers like Crutchfield. They include instructions that are highly detailed for your specific vehicle. And even toss in some free stuff when you order a head unit or components from them.

Check them out or call them and get their opinion on it as well.

Or look at www.crutchfield.com for more info regarding your specific truck.

Jeeze, did I just manage to sound like a commercial for them??
Sorry guys. I bought a pair of 15" subs from the a while back, like in 2002 I think, and their customer service when one of the subs blew was unbelievable. I had a brand new sub PLUS a return label for mine IN THE BOX, and the UPS guy WAITIED for me to pack it up!!! When I get ready to buy more stereo equipment for my truck, I am calling them.

Take a look here:

Do you have an aux button on your stereo? I'm sure there'd be someone willing to sell the dash piece that has the auxiliary plug. Or just trade with you.
