Default help me out plz

This is my current setup.

help me out plz-forumrunner_20120702_210800.jpg

I want to add another cvt 12 (2 ohm model) http://www.kicker.com/comp_vt

The amp for the current kicker is an MB Quart FX1.400.

I don't really want to upgrade the amp as I literally just bought it lol. Could this mono run both 2 ohm subs? If it is possible Ik I will not get the full 400w rms to each (duh, right). I do, however, think it will sound fuller until I upgrade the amp later down the road.

Well you add another 2ohm sub your options are 1ohm or 4ohm for a load at the amp. You will want to upgrade the amp.

Add a second amp for the other sub? Unsure of length but perhaps all 3 could go across the top? Put your d blocks at the bottom between the subs or one of the amps between the subs? I'm jelly, you got more room to work with than I.

Distro block and ground are in the compartment the jack used to be housed in. Ran then under the plastic behind the new wall. Each amp has a hole behind it for wires.

I guess I would have to upgrade. The amp isn't 1 ohm stable. I don't know if I would hear a difference with it wired at 4ohm. They would get about 100w each lol.

Yeah I have a lot of room. I can fit full size woofers, but again I rushed this set up. I love it, but I'm never satisfied as my gf would say.

Do me a favor and get yourself a 3 position fused d block and put a fuse before your amp.

You have on under the hood, right?

The MB Quart FX1.400 is not 1 ohm stable, so unless you decided to change both subs, you will be forced to run those two(2ohm each) at 1 or 4 ohm final load (at the amp). Since your amp is only stable down to 2ohms, you will have to wire them in series for the 4ohm load at the amp. Moreover, that 4ohm load is only going to give each sub about 1/4 of their max rms rating = (100) watts nominal

Have you given any thought to a good ported box for the sub you have?

Of course I have one under the hood lol. Doesn't the fuse under the hood do the job?

Yes, the generic sealed I have is .85 cu ft. And the minimum sealed should be 1 cu ft. So I'm sure it could sound much better. I also want to add some polyfil whenever I have money for a custom box.

I would do fuses at both ends regardless if the amp has them. Cheap insurance.
