What I found out over a period of time is that I like a louder front stage with no speakers in the rear. This would allow you to spend more money on a nice set. IMO that would be better than buying 4 lesser ones.
well, looked for both of those briefly online, and couldn't even find them, other than one guy on a forum selling a set of the critical mass 5x7 for $300...not looking to go super high end, just something that sounds good, and is louder than the stock system, i have a feeling the JL stuff will be great for me.

peace

Kicker or memphis audio. Best speakers on the market. I think they make components

I agree but with both of these brands to get the sound quality that you want you must go with the top end speaker. I am running Kicker QS and SS components in my 06 f150

I have four Boston Acoustics in my 97, and they sound pretty good. I take most of the bass out of them and let the subs handle that.

Haven't bought yet, took some peoples suggestions, and have been looking around a little, still looking to stay right around $120 per pair of 6x8...so i KNOW there has to be something that is very good quality at this price, i'm not trying to win competitinos here or anything, just enjoy my music tot he fullest.

here is what i have stumbled across lately, lets hear your opinions

Memphis:

The JLs that are still in the running:

Focal (heard these my have harsh tweets?):

Polk (i use polk RTi series in my Home Theater, with SVS sub, sounds great):

Image dynamics (last second addition):
http://www.woofersetc.com/p5002/CTX5...k-Tweeters.htm

Boston Acoustics:

So many choices...dont' know what to do, the JL is still on the wish list for now, unless i hear of something much better in my price range, that i can easily find to purchase as well...

Thanks

Yeah, i think i will go with the JLs. I like silk dome tweets, as they are what is in my speakers at home. I hate shrill highs that hurt my ears, as they cause me listeners fatigue.

thanks for the responses all

peace
