Help Anyone??
I'm new to the forum, so I apologize if there may already be a topic/thread on this subject, but I was just wondering if anybody could tell me if it is worth upgrading the stock speakers in the F-150?? Basically, I am looking to just upgrade the stock speakers to better ones without having to buy an amp and all that. I have a 2013 Ford F-150.
Thanks!!
Thanks!!

I see lots of posts on speakers- sounding blown or other problems...
I'm still waiting for something to happen-- I'm one of those listen at a comfortable level then a better song comes on and up to 26-full volume....and they still sound fine..
so in short what am I doing wrong for all these 13-14's looking for new speakers...
I would think and sony/kenwood/alpine other brand names would be better than stock....

There are a few posts about switching out the factory speakers for aftermarket ones. Most of the threads on this subjuect have stated that it's an improvement so long as you don't go the cheapy ebay route. There have been some fitment issues with certain brands fitting into the doors, but other than that people have had success with just swapping them out.
A few threads I've seen on here have gone with a full aftermarket speaker/amp set-up using the factory head unit. And a few more have gone to a complete aftermarket system to include the head unit. Look throught the Stereo/Audio section for a little bit and you will see the threads I'm talking about.
On a side note, a member on here named IBD did a complete stereo upgrade for his truck. The smount of detail and wiring made my head hurt, but he has a different generation of truck than your 13. Lol. There are some other members on here that have a lot of knowledge as well, and can help you with what you are wanting to accomplish.

Thank you all so much for your responses!! You have helped a lot. I actually did a chat with a specialist on the Crutchfield Electronics website and he recommended some Polk speakers. I just wanted to kinda get a second opinion cause I know some people say its not really worth it, but then I've had some people like you all say that its worth it as long as you buy the right product. Thank you again!!

Save yourself some change and get them from Amazon.com like I did, here is the speakers I put in place of stock. They fit perfectly.
You will also want to get some plug-n-play harness adapters.
They come two to a pack so 2 packs for 4 speakers. And yes it was a significant improvement over stock.
Amazon.com : Polk Audio DB571 5-by-7-Inch Coaxial Speakers (Pair, Black) : Vehicle Speakers : Car Electronics
You will also want to get some plug-n-play harness adapters.
Amazon.com : Metra 72-5600 Speaker Adapter for Select Ford Vehicles : Coaxial Car Speakers : Electronics
