Default Help...All I know is that I know nothing

Hello. First, let me say thank you to all of the author of all of the posts I've been reading over the past few days. After all of the reading I've done, I'm not sure it's clicking and need some "me specific" help. Keep in mind that all I want is a loud-er, crisp, clean, somewhat bassy souding system. I am hesitant to go to the stereo shop and drop a grand on amps, etc. I also want to keep the factory look.

I recently bought an 07 XLT Supercrew with the basic single disc, mp3, non audiophile system. I replaced all of the factory speakers with Polk db571s. I have the 6 disc audiophile HU and the OEM sub. My plan is to install the HU, hook up the sub, and rock out. What I need some guidance on is-

1) I think I understand that the factory audiophile system had a 7 speaker component system. Were all of the door speakers run off of the amp in the HU?

2) After I hook everything up will I have to replace my new Polk 5x7s with component speakers?

3) If I have to switch to components, do I go with a separate 6.5" & tweeter in the front and a combined speaker in the rear doors?

Thanks in advance for the help!!! I really need it and really appreciate it!!

you dont have to switch to components, but the sound of them is much better

Would the wire and RCAs be for an aftermarket HU, or the sub, or am I missing something? My hope is that the wiring is there for the sub. Thanks!!
