Trying to figure out specifically what piece of the equation is still in progress. In reading on the Maestro iDatalink site the ADS-RR(SR)-FOR02-DS2TH-IG should work now for 2013's w/4.3 view screens (full coverage including SYNC). I have seen the actual dash install bezel. What am I missing? In earlier parts of the threads it referenced issues aligning with FORDs SYNC functionality.

Since we have the time, can anyone explain which components of the complete solution are missing?

[QUOTE=Rnlcomp;4016002]True it is a little low, I was pissed at the world over something else and this was just an avenue to vent. Feel better now, Oh and tell that idiot jm I can see he's posting something and probably really low on the iq chart but I can't see it because he's been on my ignore list for quite some time now, the sweetness of not having to drone thru his garbage is nice. ask him how that $500 Chinese pos he bought worked out. LOL

Obviously you are either very vain to think that every post I do is about you, or you really didn't block me, so eitherway you're still a DB.

Yup, I bought that $500 Chineese POS, yup I put myself out on a ledge and yup I got bit. But I also have an amazing credit card company that has my back and got back every penny the second it broke and the seller wouldn't do anything about it. So other than a couple weeks of frustration I'm out nothing, so go suck on that, beache!

Still trying to figure out a good option to mount the tab to the bezel, I had asked that guy here on the forum tk something that does the ipad mounts about a mount but I guess he has better things to do.

Then the kicker upgrade came out and then camera source came out with the reverse cam mod for the 4.2" screen so I'm feeling like I got tossed out of a tornado with an inner ear infection on which way to go next.

All of which would be a moot point had someone come out with a decent nav/head unit.

Guys,

I appreciate the patience and please understand a lot went into this. Remember how this thread started - Advent was going to come out with OEM look solution. Then they said Sync too hard to keep, very different. OK, we figured it out. Then there's the issue of the climate controls. Yes we could have made some functional ones quickly. However, we tooled almost exact replicas of the factory *****. We did this at huge cost to the company even though this dash kit and those ***** will only apply to 13-14 models with 4.3 inch screens.

In the end, we are very close. As I have said a few times, I will start an entirely new post when the solution is ready to announce. I will no longer be posting to this thread.

Cheers,

Unless you have seen the bezel in person I am assuming that you are talking about the image that we saw posted in this thread. This could easily be a 3D rendering from a CAD package. If you saw it in person, it could easily be a rapid prototype. I have a vendor that can make 1-5 of almost any plastic component in about 5-10 days. It looks real and would even be functional if the HVAC electronics have been prototyped as well, but would not be a production part. My guess is that they the image we saw was a CAD rendering.

Sometimes (most times) it is better not to know about something until it is available. We just need to let it go for now.
