which head unit would you choose?

anything that is direct connected into the radio would be better sounding that any FM transmission. an actual iPod connection would sound better than an auxiliary (for a few reasons) but to get the best sound you should get the actual connection for an iPod. after that the best sound would be the aux input. USB connections would sound a lot like the aux.

I love my Pioneer head unit, but I would prefer the look of the double-din for my '07. Any suggestions on that? I need to replace the OEM speakers. And, I'd like to put in a sub. What sub fits nicely into a SuperCrew? Keep in mind I have two young monkeys flailing their feet in the back seat.

def go with a pioneer... but i would recommend getting a six thousand series or higher because it allows you to turn up the bass on your subs without maxing out the bass to your door speakers

I'll probably bequeath my current Pioneer head unit to my assistant and get myself a double-din. I won't rule out Kenwood...but I've had many Pioneer radios and have been happy.
I did see a JVC double-din with the USB up front...I like the idea of a USB port.
Thanks,
Glenn

I Voted For Bill and Opus
Make sure whatever you end up with has a USB port. being able to blug in a flash drive, or a portable Hard Drive is sweet, the CD player becomes something you will rarely use. My vote is for a Pioneer.

So...where does a sub fit into the back of a late-model supercrew?? And, which model do you recommend? Also, I noticed there are little 1" speaker openings on the front doors. What should I stuff in there??
Thanks,
Glenn
