What ever you get make sure it has a USB port on it preferably in the front so you can plug in thumb drives. Thumb drives can be had with up to 16 gigs.
I am here to tell you if you get a unit with a such a USB port you will hardly, if ever use the CD drive, and who cares about a remote changer.

don't get the one with the usb port on the front if you plan on using the ipod with it... it won't work out very well

files are stored in random order on the ipod and its impossible to navigate

I don't have a radio with an ipod adaptor (yet), but I plug my ipod in through an adaptor in the cig lighter. Then I have to tune the radio to a certain station to listen to the ipod and if that station starts getting reception then the ipod sound quality goes bad. If you get a head unit with a USB port or ipod hookup does it owrk the same way?

The usb and the ipod hookups are kinnda like aux inputs on a tv so its ALOT better then haveing it play over you radio frequency (I think).

Its still good quality but i still think its not as good as the cd quality.

---------------- Now playing: A.F.I. - 37mm via FoxyTunes

anything that is direct connected into the radio would be better sounding that any FM transmission. an actual iPod connection would sound better than an auxiliary (for a few reasons) but to get the best sound you should get the actual connection for an iPod. after that the best sound would be the aux input. USB connections would sound a lot like the aux.
