Default Having trouble getting power wire thru firewall on a 2004

I found a spot on the passenger-side firewall (close to the battery) w/ an existing wiring bundle that has a big rubber grommet around it. I tried to poke a hole in the grommet and feed a hanger thru, but I can't get the hanger all the way into the car. It seems like the hanger is getting pushed in towards the center of the wire bundle instead of pushing thru.

It seems like this is a pretty obvious spot to run the wire, so I assume lots of other people have used it too. Is there a trick to it? Or is there a better spot I'm just not seeing?

Find another spot. Whatever you do don't short out anything in the wire bundle.
