Has anyone put W3 10's in a ext cab

Also all jl amps put out above rated power......the 500/1 is about 635 watts
The 10w3v3 is a svc

Actually he should wire them in parallel to get them to 2 ohms, series would make them 8 ohms.

If your wiring a pair of them to a JL 500 you will have to series the coils on the subs then parallel them at the amp because its a mono amp for a final 4 ohm mono load.

10w3v3's are SVC subs

I JUST sold 2 W3's today at work along with the box for an ext cab... let me get the dimensions for you tomorrow at work

I just installed the box/JL10W3 speaker and 500w Alpine mono block. Holy Cow it sounds incedible. I went off your advice and it is perfect exp I need to replace the door speakers now LOL

Good to hear that your happy with your set up.
I just started making the Ford sub boxes again this week.
My molding machine that makes the plastic caps for the top and side was down for about two weeks. Cost $3,000 to get a technician to fly in and fix it. Took him about two hours to find out that a bad solenoid was shorting out the controller.

I have an S-crew with a custom box built under the rear seats that can fit 2 JL w3v3's. The seats had to be raised some in the back but not too much.

my seat is exactly where the factory put it. Joes box was tight getting it in there but it's there with only mod done to my truck is the amp is mounted behind the passenger side rear seat
