Default Hardwire GPS Question

I am going to hardwire my Garmin 522 using this post as a reference:

https://www.f150forum.com/f38/best-p...99/#post610163

I am even mounting it in the same place (left side windshield just above the dash. My question is how to run the wire down behind the dash without tearing the whole truck apart? Can I snake a thin wire puller down between the dash and A Pillar? Any ideas would be appreciated!

That would make it easy! I'll have to poke around and see...

Are there any Airbags or anything to worry about in the driver's side A-Pillar?

Also, what is an upfitter switch? Does the compartment fuse panel use standard ATC fuses or mini fuses? I don't have access to my truck until after work and I want to order up a fuse tap.

No airbags or anything. The only upfitter switch I know about is in the F250's. They are a bank of switches for aftermarket equipment. Pretty sure they are mini fuse.

Ok, the diagram in my manual lists #37 as UPFITTER COILS. Does anyone know if any of the SPARE - NOT USED spots are switched with the ignition?

I just got a low profile mini fuse tap for this project! Just need to know what fuse location would be best to tap into.

37 should work but I think I will run into trouble trying to get the fuse panel cover back on. I would like to use #44 for clearance reasons but I'm not sure it is switched or not?
