Actually aluminum is an excellent conductor. There is a bolt on the rear cab wall that works well for a ground. Just make sure there is no corrosion as aluminum oxide doesn't conduct very well.

Drill a hole through floor, add grommet, bolt ground to frame.
An improper or so-so ground will result in your amp not performing to its limits. A.k.a. not as loud so go straight to the frame

Factory ground points won't be as good as the frame of the vehicle. Just do it the right way the first time. Grounding to the frame takes 5 minutes.

Want to bring this back to life. When the 2015s came out it took a long time for aftermarket stuff to hit and it seemed like people weren't modifying these trucks much. That's not the case now. I saw a YouTube video from 5star car stereo talking about running ground all the way back to the battery. Is that what people are doing? How much power are you guys putting in? I'm looking at putting in a skar audio sk1500 and a sk 100.4 so that's a lot of power. I need a 0gauge run to the back and I don't want to **** around with a poor ground but running 0gauge all the way back sounds miserable
