Default Fox Box worries?

So I'm doing my audio upgrade for my truck. Ive already replaced the stock HU with a Kenwood DDX470 and Infinity Reference in all the doors, all bought through Crutchfield. Now I'm looking to finally add some bass to my list. I'm back and forth between an Alpine Type-R shallow mount, and JL W3s. Ive read stories back and forth about Fox Boxes, that they're friggin awesome, and that some rattle apart and dont fit right. Anyone have any experience stories that can help me make a decision? If I had the tools to make a box, I would.

Anyway, FIRE AWAY!

Here's a quick pic I got of my Fox Box after I first got it (04-08). I'm pretty satisfied with it. I feel like it's the most bang for your buck. Had it for about 2 or 3 months and zero problems with it so far. Let me know if you want more pics, etc.

You should check out Brightstar car audio on ebay. I just got a single 12" downfire sub box from them for my 07 super cab and it fits perfectly under my seat. it was like 78 bucks with free shipping, they also have dual sub woofer boxes for like 117, BUT the mounting depth is ridiculously small. I don't know much about the fox boxes I heard they were pretty good though and you have more mounting depth.

They look great. Ive just done some researching and people are complaining about leaks and fitting issues, etc and whatnot. I'd rather do my research first before I stop dropping money I barely have, ya know? I believe I'm just going to go with the single box. What sub/amp combo are you running?

Yes definitely do your research, it took me a couple months to finally decide what to get. I have a 12" Rockford Fostgate P3 shallow mount and i went with a cheapy boss audio phantom 1000 watt amp for the time being until i can afford a nicer amp.
