Default Ford stereos

I thought the stock radio in my '10 Lariat (6 disc, no Sony) was bad (before new speakers, amps, sub). I rented a 2013 Taurus SEL over the weekend and the radio in that thing was beyond horrible. My wife even said it was painful to listen to. It had the 4" screen which really wasn't that great and the speakers had no low end, mids that were caustic, and no treble. The car was nice but there is no way I would ever get one, especially since the HVAC is now tied in with the stereo.

They still using that integrated b/s in the Taurus? Good grief, that's been a sore spot ever since 1996. I had two Taurii with that crap, a 1997 and a 1998.

The ONLY Ford that had that b/s design, well the Mercury Sable had it as well, but that line is no longer, thankfully not so on other models like the F150.
