Alright, thanks for the input, I'll be ordering one very soon, and as you may guess from my username, I'm "alright" lol with computers. I'm looking forward to seeing what can be done with this unit. i was looking to order from autodvdgps..the chinese company. But I've seen elsewhere the canadian tech support to be better also. I believe from what I saw before is they are an ebay company, do you know if thats right? Does anyone have a link to the cadian store?

Let me know if you have any luck with the wifi, I'll be ordering one soon, I'll do the same. I'd love to see some people with these, get a group working on "mods" lol.

The Canadian company selling them is Trustigo, here is a link to one of their auctions: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Ford-...ht_10079wt_939

I am an ex-IT guy, 13 years was all I could take. But I am still active in tech now as a hobby, and am a modder as well. I can hardly think of anything I own that is "stock" anymore. Let me know if you can get a group buy discount anywhere as I am ready to pull the trigger as well. The only thing holding me back is a press release on Motevo's site about the new "Kung-Fu" systems they are going to release. http://www.motevomobile.com/newsdetails.asp?id=121
Motevo has an office not to far from me here in Socal, so I am gonna try and call them and see if there is any way to buy direct, and get the lowdown on the 2011 releases...

BIG PLUS: The fact their close is a great reason to try one.
For me ... I didnt choose the Motevo simply because it didn't look very stock to the interiors theme, Of corse this isn't a great reason it was just my reason. And if I recall No internet? Let us know how it goes.
BTW my Install is in fact a F250 Superduty. 4 door. but same wiring as a f150.

I havn't looked into them a whole lot, but they seem like a pretty good route to go, especially with new 2011 releases coming out. If you get any input on when there being released, and pricing let me know. I'm ready to order one now, just cant decide which one to go with.

I"m not an IT guy by trade, I'm actually a Civil Engineer, I recently graduated college and was lucky enough to find a job in my field. I've been building/selling/repairing computers for about the past 10 years or so. I'm the same way, not much I own is stock anymore. I think there are a lot of possibilities with they style head units, as far as mods go. That's my big draw to them, as well as the factory look.

All,
So here is the current standing with mine. Everything works... For some reason on my truck the steering wheel controls are acting strange, and according to Qualir this is for
an f150 and not a superduty. So I decide Im going to return it... Then I looked at the cost of returning it Holy Cow!!! 260.. for shipping back to china! So... Anyone interested in my unit? I can fwd you the purchase info and it is under warrantee(its new still). and has all the harnesses etc... I would let it go for the 488.00 that I paid for it. And this one is internet enabled. with the wifi of course. And is suppose to work with a modem
I will say if you decide to purchase it really is a small computer. So being PC/Computer proficient will be of great use if you decide to change alter hack mod or whatever.

I paid 488.00 plus 110 shipping to get it to me. Ill let it go for the 488.00 and include what ever info i gleaned from this and pass it on to you if interested.
PM me with any questions.

Perhaps your truck does not have steering controls and then its a non issue.
But if it does I cannot guarantee they will work. But according the unit specs they should be plug n play ready.

NSTYXLT, I've decided to buy Thesniper's headunit. I'll let you know how the install goes, may even give a full review of it, since there is such a lack of information about these units on here.

What's the word? Get it installed yet? Oh and I called Motevo, the new 2011 KungFu deal was Asia only, but I guess they upgraded the displays to HD and some other improvements on their current US line. They passed me off to Big 5 Electronics Inc to purchase one. Contacted Big 5 and they will sell me the Motevo for $499.00+tax. But I am still hung up on the no Internet deal. Honestly probably will hardly use it, but might be a fun tool to have. So let me know how it goes, or if anyone else has a recommendation on an "All-In-One" in the sub-$700 range that I should look into...
