Ford f-150 xlt supercrew subwoofer plans

Thanks guys, I'm pretty pleased with it myself. One thing I though of last night that I wish I would have done different so far is cut out the amp mounting board and have it sprayed with the same liner. But if everything works out and I mount it where I want, nobody will ever see it, so in the end don't think its going to matter.
Yes, and there is a point to be made there, pyle does have undersized wire (which I knew before purchase), however they are insulated very thick, which I like. The amp says 1600 watts on the box but in 4 ohm, its only going to do around 300. Given that and the short distance the battery cable will run, I only need 6-8 gauge wire (assuming I did my math right). This isn't going to be a competition setup, its a budget setup. For the price tag of 17 bucks for the wire kit, I think its perfect for this application.

For the money invested I am extremely pleased with the results. This one subs hits plenty hard enough when turned up. I've got it adjusted to compliment my other speakers and not drown them out. Sounds really clean.
Amp and wiring kit-$120
Subwoofer-$90
Box-$55
Head unit, wiring harness, dashboard adapter-$70
Infinity reference 6x8 speakers-$140 total for 2 pair

Haha that's the last of the pics. Installation is complete. I might add a 4 channel amp for the door speakers, but nothing post worthy. I was going to make a video of stuff bouncing around on the top of the truck, but kinda hard to play songs from phone and video with phone at same time

Ive had this running for a week now. Still very pleased with it. However... Sending my Pioneer amp back to amazon for a refund. It works really well, however I found a used Alpine PDX-5 amp that id rather have. I have Infinity reference speakers running off only what my head unit can do (rated 22 watt/channel). the 5x7's are rated at 60 watts rms/channel. They sound a lot better than what my stock speakers/head unit did. But this amp is rated at 75 watts RMS x 4 + 300 watts RMS x 1 at 4 ohms. This amp is no bigger than the pioneer, yet should run the subwoofer the same, and be able to push all the 5x7's with ease.

The bad thing about Video, is that its only going to sound as good as the microphone recording it. But I can giver her a go and see how it comes out. Probably won't have everything hooked up till next weekend. Waiting on 6 channel rca cables to come in the mail
