Default Focal PS 165 F + 2014 F150 XLT = ?

I really like the speakers, now it's to finding out how much trouble they are going to fit. I got confirmation the mid fits into the space the factory speaker occupies. Does anyone have experience with, or knows if the tweeter will require a custom A-frame adapter?

I have a 2014 XLT screw with the 4.2in screen and sync. There is a factory tweeter in the A pillar.

Thanks!

I put in focal 165 k2p. I had to make plates for the doors for the mids to fit. The tweeters I had made a little bracket out of some thin metal strapping.

Thanks. Probably time for me to look for alternatives, don't have good mechanical skills.

If you can't make adapter plates you probably shouldn't be installing at all. Just take it to a shop and have them do it

After reading this thread, I was motivated to buy some Focal's for my truck, these aren't the components since I want to keep the factory Sony setup, Hope they sound better than the crap Ford put in there!

I have the Focal 165 AS and I'm very happy w/ them. Had them installed at Car Toys. I think they made the plates for $20.

I don't now how deep the AS is compared to the PS F, but these fit great.

I'd also mention that sealing the doors up w/ some sound deadner made a huge difference. Here are a few photos of the install. CarToys did the head unit and the front door speakers. I installed the amps, dynamat and rear speakers.
