I have used several sound deadening products over the past 20 years in my personal vehicles (Dynamat, Hushmat, RoadKill, and Deadmat) but only recently got my hands on Focal's BAM product. It is ridiculous how much higher the quality is. The shop I work for recently did a 2016 Platinum F150 in BAM (both front doors) and the 165KRs, when dialed in with a Mosconi 6to8, sounded most impressive.

Here is a comparison to Dynamat Xtreme (the Dynamat is just the black tar material and the foil sheet. Note the difference in the thickness of the 'tar' layer)






Below is the BAM. After feeling this stuff in your hands it becomes apparent that the it's going to be capable of exhibiting acoustical properties that the competition just can't, because of the thickness of the tar layer as well as the addition of the 'foam' layer.
