If your going for SQ I would spend my money on Hybrid Audio. Winning just about every SQ competition out there. I have been beating the **** out of my HATs for over a year with no perceivable loss in SQ.

I replaced my sony speakers with Focal KRX2's up front driven processed through a Mosconi DSP and powered by a Mosconi Amp in an active set up (each speaker is getting 100w of clean power - meaning each tweeter, each mid-driver are receiving 100w dedicated - didn't use the Focal passive crossovers). Also replaced the rear sony sub with 2 Focal 8 inch SQ subs in a custom box powered by a 900w Audison amp. All I can say is dang.... the soundstage is immensely better and the reproduction on uncompressed WAV files off the head unit USB is better than my B&W's at home. Like I said.... dang. :-) Paid a pretty penny but I spend a lot of time in the truck.

I also have the k2 power 6 1/2 components up front. Focal, in my opinion, is the best sq speaker in car audio. I have mine running passive right now with the focal crossovers and the sound amazing. Best car audio system I've had so far. I will be changing the focals to an active system soon because I bought another amp.
Amps are all JL (xd 700/5, xd 600/1, xd 200/2). Sub is a JL 10tw3 in a custom box running off the 600/1. Factory Sony/nav headunit and I got it all running through an audison bit ten processor.

There are several Focal K2 popwer models listed on Crutchfield. Which model did you get and how'd they fit (bracket needed?) Thx

And I made plates to fit them in and cover the hole. I also carpeted the plates and dynamatted the inner doorskin behind the speaker and everywhere else I could reach or put it.

sounds nice. I wish I could afford to build a fully active system
