Default Finally able to hook up the factory speakers

Thanks to the info on Alldatadiy I was finally able to wire my Pioneer head unit into the 13 year old factory speakers on my truck. I was hardly surprised to find they left a great deal to desired in the sound department. I was planning on replacing them with either a set of Polk Audio's, or Boston Acoustics. Below on the right hand side is the plug used on my 95 F150 below which does not have the premium sound system and the external amp used with it which apparently connects to a plug and pig tail at the back of the factory radio.

Dang you should have asked me man. I could have helped ya' out. My friend has a 1990 F150, a 1995 F150 and a 2001 F150 and I've put audio systems in all 3 of them.

Hope everything works out for ya man!!!

It sure did, I wasn't in that big a hurry. When I installed the radio last winter I was just too cold to to sit in he cab and wire it up so I used a set if bookshelf speakers sitting on the back seat.

After I wrote the above I started to play around with the audio settings and wow did that improve things.
