That sound deadener makes a wonder of a difference, doesn't it? People don't usually take that advice when it's given, but it's insane what $150-200 of deadner and some MLV will do to a sound stage.
Your exactly right man. My front stage is really clean . The midbass my comps put out is quick and snappy. I really recommend sound deadener. I really enjoy driving this truck with the a/c on and playing music. You really hear no road noise and dont have to go as high with the volume **** to get good output(although I just cant help myself)lol.
Amd as far as the box, you would never catch me running a prefab. Not even sealed. Building enclosures is fun and you can make them to your liking

T-line enclosure was a bit too high and caused uncomfortable seating. So,im building a regular ported enclosure using an aero port that will be firing toward the passenger side. Going with a single 8" and ditching the 6.5" pair. This box is only 10" high and should be exactly what im looking for.

Ooh. Very nice.

In my 96 rcsb Silverado, I ran a very similar enclosure. 1.6 cubes gross, 1.2 net. I think it was 42w, 12h, 6top/8bottom deep. Had a pair of 3 inch PVC ports that were 22 long each...maybe. It's been a few years. Sub on one end, ports firing into the passenger b-pillar.

Ran a Fi SSD 10, off a Kicker ZX750.1. Was such a nice setup. Loved it. Super loud for a single 10, nice frequency response from 27-55hz. Dropped off starting at 26, but would play down to 23-24 without issues.

Are you planning on wrapping the enclosure? Imo a bed liner would be very nice on it.

Nice man. I bet that did get loud and while sounding good.
I tried carpeting once bet never like it. I didnt have the skill for it. I always spray my boxes with textured paint. Somewhat like jedliner but not as strong. It hides alot of the imperfections. Ill show pics once primed and sprayed
