I have the 2011 Lariat Limited with the Nav w/ sony system. What size are the tweeters and are they easily replaced? I was going to replace the front/rear door speakers with the Polk DXi570. My system also has a center channel (I think) speaker in the center of the dash. Can this one be replaced? What size is it?

I just replaced the front factory's with Alpine components. I used a dremal to mount the tweeter in the upper door. Worked out fine. There was not enough room in the columns for the new tweeters where the factory tweeters were so I just unhooked them.

I have factory tweeters up front but did not incl these in the new wiring I ran back to the LC-6. I have an LC-6 and only ran fr and rear wiring back to the LC-6 so I only have 2 new sets of wiring coming back to the fronts. I dont know if the new Alpine components will work right this way.

HOw did you do it ?

I could sum the channels on the LC-6 but how can I verify the freq for tweeters are reaching the back ?

Thanks for any help ... TOM
Tweeters get signal from factory amp. The middle plug has wires for four door speakers, two tweeters, and one center. I used the LCQ-1 which is the same as the LC6 but with EQ and line driving. My component's crossovers are under the center console now and I ran out from the crossover to the front door and two tweeter wires. Worked perfect and sounds great. I abandoned the center channel altogether. With the right amp and components you don't need the center. I think it's a cheap way to add better staging.
