I have the factory 8" in my 2005 f150. Yesterday I installed a pioneer avh 5600bhs. Installed the unit and steering wheel control adapter. Now my problem is when I turn my truck on and the radio first turns on my little sub makes a pop noise like a real sudden bass hit. Doesn't do it long, just one quick pop. Anyone know what is causing this? I read online I may need a pac-tr4. Before I order that I wanna make sure it'll fix the problem. Any input is appreciated

I had this same problem on my 07 F150 when I put in an aftermarket HU.
This is how I fixed it.

The reason this is happening is because the factory sub turns on with 5V and you are sending it 12V from your new HU.
This is what I use or u can make one yourself if you are handy.
