I'm about to get a 06 Screw XLT and I'm wanting to up grade the sound system. When I was looking online at Crutchfield today they wanted to know if the truck has a factory sub or not. How do I tell if it does? What would be some good speakers just to replace the factory door speakers i don't want anything really loud just something that sound good.

Lift your rear seat and if there is a black roundish box you have the upgraded sound system.

do you have a large black box under the rear seat? if not, then you dont have the sub.

Memphis Audio, JL, Kicker, Infiniti, JBL, Alpine all make good speakers.

hmm....JL, Audiobahn, Kicker-solar baric, JBL, Alpine, Pioneer. Those are pretty much the top brands. There's one that I can't think of but I'm sure it will come to me.

huh?? I had 2 of them in my Malibu for ove 2 years and NEVER had a problem with them overheating or anything. I've heard people say that they didn't like them before but I would definitely get more Audiobahn equipment. They're subs hit hard and are great.

WOW, Not to be an a**hole and call you out or anything but there is only one brand in that list that you mentioned that is worth buying but is way overpriced and that would be JL audio. The alpines are nice to but all the other brands are garbage.


Some real brands are Eclipse, Diamond Audio, Treo, DD, ETC.

If you think i am full of it please go hear and ask the pro's.
