factory radios
Will any ford radio work work in my F150 as long as the plug configuration on the back is the same and it has the two holes on either side.. such as superduty, ranger, excursion radios??

That is a good question. I know there are diffrences in the radio mounting and faces and how they mount in the dash. Like the Ranger radio would not fit my F150. I tried it from my wifes truck.

The Ranger radio won't fit in the F150.....it has a smaller plug in the back of it.
However, the stock radios and navigation systems in the Explorers and Expeditions will fit in the F150.

How about adding the MP3 jack to an 04 like the 07's have? Is it just a matter of getting the factory wire with the jack(my radio has aux)and the tray on the top part of the dash, or is it much more complicated than that?

that is just 1 more thing that i like about Ford.... you can take the factory radio out and put it back in... all by yourself... my 07 silverado had to have a code from gm.... and it cost 50 bux... and unlike previous years of gm trucks the code doesnt come up on the radio face.
