F150 Receiver Upgradable - 3rd Party?
I am considering either a 2015 XLT with SYNC-My Ford Touch vs a 2016 with Sync 3. Frankly I am not excited about either tech option and am wondering if it is possible to upgrade the 2015-My Ford Touch with a 3rd party receiver?
Specifically has anyone taken out a 2015 Sync-My Ford Touch and swapped with a Pioneer AppRadio4 or something else that has Apple CarPlay?

I'll called up Crutchfield and they are usually pretty good at keeping up with new model compatibility. However they don't have any info on the F150 2015 which makes me wonder if there are problems with upgrading.
Has any done this? I know there are devices that allow to interoperate with steering wheel controls.

What about the climate control functions and rear view camera?
Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Theres no Dash Kits, or anything yet for the new body style! It'll probably be a little bit still, Id say closer to summertime! Possibly longer, with Sync 3 coming in the 16s!
They (Idatalink, and so on), have to figure out how to incorporate all the new HUs and functions of OEM systems!
